Verulam House Care Home, in the heart of the cathedral city of St Albans, Hertfordshire, is an oasis of calm in a busy and vibrant city.

The home provides residential, respite, palliative and nursing care in St Albans as well as physical disability and sensory impairment support.

An early 19th century Grade II listed building, Verulam House was previously the Bishop’s Palace, a school, a conference centre and even a maternity hospital during the Second World War. Beautifully converted to a care home nearly 20 years ago, both the house and grounds are steeped in history yet remain modern and accessible.
