At Verulam House we take great care in helping new residents settle in and feel at home as quickly as possible.

Upon arrival, each resident is warmly welcomed by the team and given the time and support needed to adjust to their new surroundings. Personalised care plans are created in consultation with residents and their families to ensure individual needs, preferences, and routines are respected from day one.

Our caring team will introduce new residents to the Verulam House community, encouraging them to participate in social activities and make new friends at a time and pace that is right for them.  This thoughtful approach helps to create a sense of belonging and ease the transition into their new home.

Residents can bring personal items, furniture and even small pets, to create a real sense of home.

We are committed to helping our residents spend their time in meaningful and enjoyable ways.  We provide a wide range of activities from social events and group outings to creative hobbies and gentle exercises, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Our activities team encourages residents to pursue their personal interests and try new activities, promoting mental stimulation, physical wellbeing, and social engagement. Whether residents prefer quiet time with a book or film, or participating in group activities, the home provides a supportive environment where they can make the most of their time and enjoy a fulfilling, happy life.

The food is delicious at Verulam House and we provide a variety of nutritious, freshly prepared meals, carefully prepared to meet the dietary needs and preferences of all our residents.

All meals are freshly cooked using quality ingredients and we offer a changing menu that provides a balance of traditional favorites and seasonal dishes.

We are able to accommodate special diets, allergies, and personal tastes, ensuring that everyone enjoys their food.

Mealtimes can be a social occasion, served in a welcoming dining area where residents can socialise, or people can enjoy their meals in their own rooms.
